We The People - Day 1

Washington DC, Tar Sands XL Pipeline Protest

I arrived in Washington DC early this morning to get ready for the big protest at the Whitehouse tomorrow afternoon. If you don't know anything about the Keystone Tar Sands XL Pipeline that is slated to come down to the US from Alberta, Canada, I urge you to go here: http://www.tarsandsaction.org/
Our protesting so far has already started to change the direction of Obama's decision on this issue. Congress does not make this decision. Obama, and Obama alone makes the vote and issues the permit to allow or to stop the dirtiest form of oil know to man to come to the US and destroy our environment. Thousands of protesters will create a human chain completely around the Whitehouse tomorrow as a symbol to let Obama know he has our support to reject the Keystone XL pipeline.

Go here for some short, informative videos about the pipeline and the movement:

I am ready for whatever happens tomorrow. Hopefully I won't be posting my next blog from a jail cell :o)

Lots more tomorrow.
Peace,
Jenni
